The annual celebration of craftsmanship and exceptional artistic talent from Oribe takes shape this year through a collaboration with multidisciplinary Finnish artist Kustaa Saksi. Saksi creates designs using geometry, collage, fractals, and asymmetry, resulting in a rich visual language. The jacquard tapestry titled “Golden Threads” is a masterpiece woven from wool, cotton, mohair, and rare precious threads, inspired by the iconic black-and-cream design of the Oribe Gold Lust collection and the Oribe Goddess emblem. The emblem design further inspired Saksi’s interpretation of Norse mythology, particularly his depiction of the golden flowing hair of the Norse goddess Sif. Through intricate techniques and vivid storytelling, Oribe celebrates the essence of nature’s beauty and the enduring power of craftsmanship.
